Abū Muḥammad al-Jarīrī

He is one of the Sufi imams. His real name is Aḥmad b. Muḥammad b. Ḥusayn Abū Muḥammad al-Jarīrī. He is among the great ṣūfīs. He was a companion of Sirr al-Sāqātī. Junayd al-Baghdādī also showed him respect and honored him. When Junayd was on his deathbed, he wished for al-Jarīrī to come and sit beside him. Al-Jarīrī could not say anything definitive about the condition of Ḥallāj al-Manṣūr, but he spoke well of him. It is also noted that al-Jarīrī is remembered for his piety, religiosity, and beautiful literary style.
