Hājjī ʿAlī b. Faraǧ b. Abī’l-Faḍl al-Kettānī. His father was among the virtuous and distinguished muezzins. He himself was a pious and devout person, well regarded by people. His voice was strong and beautiful. He was affectionate, devoted to service, and a noble person. He performed the ḥajj pilgrimage several times. He heard ḥadīth from Abū ʿUmar and others. He passed away on the night of Wednesday, the third of Dhū’l-Qaʿda this year. His funeral prayer was performed in the morning. He was buried in the Babü’s-Saġīr Cemetery.

Shaykh Faḍl b. Shaykh ar-Rijāḥī al-Tūnisī

He passed away in the month of Dhū’l-Qaʿda this year. After his death, his brother was appointed to the shaykhship of the Yūsuf Badrāyya Madrasa and began his duties there.
