Emîr Seyfeddīn ʿAlī b. Emîr Alemüddīn b. Süleymān b. Cender. He was one of the great emirs in Ḥalab. He had given many ṣadaqāt (charitable alms). There, he endowed two madrasas, one exclusively for Shāfiʿīs and the other for Ḥanafīs. He commissioned khāns (caravanserais), bridges, and other charitable institutions. He participated in many ghazā (military expeditions). May Allah have mercy on him.
