He was the governor of the frontier. He had a house by the Zelake canal in Babü's-Sağir. His tomb is located at the foot of Mount Qāsyūn, next to the tomb of Ibn Tamīrak, under a dome on the road. Malik ʿĀdil appointed his son Yaʿqūb as the governor of the frontier.
ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz al-Ṭabīb
He passed away suddenly this year. He is the father of the physician Saʿd al-Dīn al-Ashrafī. Ibn Anīn said about him:
“I am fleeing. There is no congregation behind the preacher. I am dying; the physician ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz is no more.”
Afīf b. al-Darāhī
He was the imam of the Hanafi maqsura on the west side of the Umayyad Mosque. He passed away this year. May Allah have mercy on him.
