Majd al-Dīn Abū Muḥammad b. Ṭāhir b. Naṣr b. Jamīl. He was a mudarris (teacher) in Jerusalem. Previously, he also taught at the Salāḥiyya madrasa. He is the father of the fuqahāʾ (jurists) bearing the name Banū Jamīl. They were initially at the Jarūḥiyya madrasa. In our time, they moved to the Imādiyya and Dīmāiyya madrasas. Later, he passed away. Only his sharḥs (commentaries) remain behind.
