Hāshim b. Bashīr b. Abī Ḥāzim is al-Qāsim b. Dīnār. Abū Muʿāwiya al-Sulamī al-Wāsiṭī. His father was the cook of Ḥajjāj b. Yūsuf al-Thaqafī—afterwards, he began to sell tarhana. He used to prevent his son from seeking knowledge so that he would help him in his work. But his son insisted that he would go to listen to hadith, and he persisted in this.
One day, when he fell ill, the judge of Wāsiṭ, Abū Shayba, came to visit him with a group of notables. When Bashīr saw this, he was pleased and said: "O my dear son, have you risen so high that the judge comes to my house? From today on, I will no longer prevent you from learning hadith."
Hāshim was among the leading scholars. Imām Mālik, Shuʿba, Thawrī, b. Ḥanbal, and some others transmitted hadith from him. He was among the righteous servants, like Aḥmad b. Ḥanbal. For ten years before his death, he performed the morning prayer with the ablution of the night prayer.

Yaḥyā b. Zakariyyā
Yaḥyā b. Zakariyyā b. Abī Zāʾida. He was the judge of Madāʾin. He was among the trustworthy imams. He passed away in this year.
