Abū Sulaymān Ḥāmid (or Aḥmad) b. Muḥammad b. Ibrāhīm b. Ḥattāb al-Ḥattābī al-Bistī. He is one of the prominent famous personalities and a mujtahid faqīh who narrated many ḥadīths. He has works such as Maʿālim al-Sunan, Sharḥ al-Bukhārī, and similar writings. He also composed beautiful poetry. One of his poems is as follows:

"As long as you live, get along well and manage with all people; for you are only the land and dance of management.

One who manages and compromises with others finds comfort. He who does not manage soon becomes a companion of regrets."

Ḥattābī passed away in the month of Rabīʿ al-Awwal of this year in the city of Bist. Ibn Ḥallīkān has stated this.
