His kunyah (teknonym) is Abū'l-Husayn. He is famous by the epithet Hājib. He was a person of virtue, propriety, and piety. He has beautiful poems. One of his poems is as follows:
“O night! Time,
Set out on all roads in your delight.
For my joyful ruh (spirit),
Has reached unattainable stations.
As for the full moon, time became disgraced.
Its secret was also revealed.
As if the brightness of the stars,
Is a blazing flame that moves.
The unseen sometimes glimmers.
As if it is a musk-scented garment.
The winds stirring the water of the Tigris,
Make it resemble a folded garment.
The spreading musk fragrance,
Resembles the moving breeze wind.
The scattered wind,
Resembles gold dust poured into molds.
The flower smiles in the gardens.
When it looks at itself, it delights you.
I told my nafs (lower self) that I would give it its due by agreement.
On this matter I set a condition. It is necessary to comply with the condition.
Then the night was defeated and passed away.
The morning came smiling.
The young man wants to live beautifully in this life,
Which will be abandoned in the future.
Yet time reckons the account of his life.
When old age comes, the account is finished.”
