According to what Ibn Jawzi transmitted from Sabit b. Sima, during the caliphate of al-Muqtadir, he saw in Baghdad a woman who had no forearms or wrists, with her hands attached to her shoulders. This woman could not perform any work with her hands attached to her shoulders. However, she performed tasks such as spinning thread and combing hair, which other women did with their hands, by using her feet.
