Husayn b. Hasan b. Muḥammad b. Ḥalīm Abū ʿAbdillāh al-Ḥālī-nī. He is the author of the work al-Minhāj fī ʿUṣūl al-Diyāna (The Method in the Principles of Religion).

He is among the Shāfiʿī shuyūkh (masters). He was born in Jūrqān and was transferred to Bukhārā. He heard many ḥadīth. Eventually, he attained the title of leader of the muḥaddithīn (scholars of ḥadīth) of his time. He served as the qāḍī (judge) of Bukhārā.

Ibn Ḥallīkān said: "The leadership of the muḥaddithīn in Mawrā al-Nahr was given to him. He has excellent fatwās in the Shāfiʿī madhhab."
