Yunus and Hacin narrated from Jābir that the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"The prophets were shown to me. I saw Mūsā (Moses). I looked, and he was like one of the men who are free from faults and defects. I saw ʿĪsā (Jesus), son of Mary. I looked, and among those I have seen, he most resembled ʿUrwa b. Masʿūd. I saw Ibrāhīm (Abraham). I looked, and among those I have seen, he most resembled Dihya."
Aswad b. ʿĀmir narrated from Ibn ʿAbbās that the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
"I saw ʿĪsā (Jesus), son of Mary, Mūsā (Moses), and Ibrāhīm (Abraham). ʿĪsā was fair-skinned, with curly hair and a broad chest. Mūsā was a man of large build." The Companions (ṣaḥāba) asked:
— What was Ibrāhīm like?
— Look at your companion (me)! (That is, he resembled me.)
Al-Bukhārī said: Some people were speaking in the presence of Ibn ʿAbbās about the Dajjāl and that there was an inscription between his two eyes reading "kāfir" (disbeliever). According to what Mujāhid heard, Ibn ʿAbbās then said: "I have not heard such a thing. However, the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'As for Ibrāhīm... (If you wish to recognize him) look at your companion (me). Mūsā was a man with curly hair, an oval face, reddish hair, and was riding a camel with a thin rope halter. It is as if I see him descending headlong into the valley.'"
