Ibrāhīm b. Muḥammad b. Nahār b. Muḥarrir al-Ghanevī was from Raqqa. He listened to ḥadīth. He took fiqh lessons from al-Shāshī and al-Ghazzālī. He prepared many of al-Ghazzālī's musannafāt (authored works) in book form and read them to al-Ghazzālī. He spent much time in his company. He was a dignified and very taciturn person. He passed away in the month of Dhū al-Ḥijja of this year, having exceeded eighty years of age.
