His name is Ishaq b. Abdullah b. Ibrahim b. Abdullah b. Salama. His kunya is Abu Yaʿqub al-Bazzar. He was from Kufa. He traveled to al-Sham (Greater Syria) and Egypt. He authored many books. He compiled a hadith collection entitled "Musnad." He settled in Baghdad. He was among the trustworthy (thiqah) transmitters. Hafiz Ibn Muzaffar transmitted hadith from him. He came to Baghdad. Al-Tabarani, al-Azdi, and other hadith masters (huffaz) narrated from him. He himself was a trustworthy and knowledgeable (ʿarif) hadith master (hafiz). He died in Aleppo in the year 307 of the Hijra.
Zakariya b. Yahya al-Saʿji
He was a jurist (faqih) and a hadith scholar (muhaddith). In matters of sunnah and hadith, he was the shaykh (spiritual guide) of Abu'l-Hasan al-Ash'ari.
