Halkiya (peace be upon him)

According to tradition, this is al-Khiḍr. This was narrated by al-Ḍaḥḥāk from Ibn ʿAbbās. However, it is a strange and not authentic narration.

Ibn ʿAsākir says: According to what is transmitted in some works, Ermiya b. Halkiya stood over the boiling blood of Yaḥyā, son of Zakariyya. This event took place in Damascus. He addressed the blood, saying: "O blood, you have caused tribulation among the people. Now, stop." At his command, the blood ceased and sank into the earth, becoming invisible thereafter.

Abū Bakr Ibn Abī al-Dunyā narrates from ʿAbd Allāh b. ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, who said: Ermiya said: "O my Lord, which of Your servants is dearest to You?" Allah said: "Those who remember Me the most (dhikr), those who are occupied with My remembrance (dhikr) and do not bring creatures to mind. The whispers of the transient do not reach them. They do not establish the desire for permanence within themselves. When the life of this world is offered to them, they abandon it. When worldly livelihood disappears from them, they rejoice. Indeed, I have bestowed My love and affection upon them. I have granted them things beyond their aims."
