Qāḍī, imam, and ʿālim Nasir al-Dīn ʿAbdullāh b. ʿUmar al-Shīrāzī. He was the qāḍī of Shīrāz, a scholar, and a sage of Azerbaijan and those regions. He passed away in the year 685 AH in Tabriz. He authored a work entitled al-Minhāj fī Usūl al-Fiqh (The Path in the Principles of Jurisprudence), which is very famous. It has been commented upon by many scholars. He also wrote works such as the four-volume Sharḥ al-Tanbīh, al-Ghāyah al-Kuswah fī Dirāyat al-Fatwā, Sharḥ al-Muntaḥab, al-Kāfiyah fī al-Manṭiq, al-Tawālī, Sharḥ al-Maḥṣūl, as well as other beneficial compilations. He bequeathed to Kutb al-Dīn al-Shīrāzī the wish to be buried adjacent to his tomb in Tabriz.
