Sadr Sharaf al-Din Abu Abdullah Muhammad b. Sharif b. Yusuf al-Zar'i. He was known by the name Ibn Wahid. He worked in the tevki (official correspondence) bureau in Cairo. He possessed knowledge of insha (composition) writing. In his time, he had reached the final stage in the profession of katib (secretary/scribe). People benefited from him. He was a virtuous, bold, and courageous person. He passed away on the sixteenth of Shawwal in this year at the Mansuri Hospital in Egypt.
