He is the author of the famous Kuddurî book in the Hanafi madhhab. His lineage is as follows: Aḥmad b. Muḥammad b. Aḥmad b. Jaʿfar b. Ḥamdān Abū'l-Ḥasan al-Kuddurī. He is the author of a memorized muḥtaṣar (concise) work, the book (Kuddurī). He was a high-ranking imam in knowledge. He was steadfast and a debater. Kuddurī praised Abū Ḥāmid al-Isfarāʾīnī and said, "He is more knowledgeable than al-Shāfiʿī and his debate is stronger than his."
Kuddurī passed away on the fifth of Rajab of this year, on a Sunday, at the age of fifty-six. He was buried next to the grave of the Hanafi faqīh Abū Bakr al-Khwarizmī.
