Ahmed b. ʿUmar b. Ibrāhīm b. ʿUmar Abū'l-ʿAbbās al-Anṣārī al-Kurtubī al-Mālikī. He was born in the year 578 AH in Cordoba. He was a faqīh (jurist), muḥaddith (hadith scholar), and mudarris (teacher). He lived in Alexandria. There he listened to many ḥadīths. He prepared abridgments of the Ṣaḥīḥs of al-Bukhārī and Muslim. He is the author of the work al-Muf-ham fī Sharḥ Muslim. This work contains beneficial and beautiful knowledge. May Almighty Allah have mercy on him.
Kemāl Isḥāq b. Aḥmad b. ʿUthmān
He is among the Shāfiʿī scholars. Shaykh Muḥyiddīn al-Nawawī and others studied knowledge from him. Kemāl Isḥāq taught at the Rawāniyya madrasa. He passed away in the month of Dhū al-Qaʿda this year.
