Malik Manṣūr Shihāb al-Dīn

Maḥmūd ibn Malik Ṣāliḥ Ismāʿīl ibn ʿAdil. He passed away on Tuesday, the eighteenth of the month of Shaʿbān of this year. His funeral prayer was performed at the Umayya Mosque. On the same day, he was buried in his grandfather's tomb, over which he himself was the naẓīr (supervisor). He had heard a great many ḥadīths. He also loved the ḥadīth scholars. He was a person of good character and modesty.
