He served as a qāḍī (judge) in Nisābur. Due to his insanity, engagement in kalām, and accepting bribes, he was dismissed from this position. Afterwards, he was appointed as the qāḍī of Rayy. He listened to ḥadīth. He was among the senior scholars. He died in the month of Rajab of this year.
