Muḥammad b. Aḥmad b. Ḥasan b. Yaḥyā b. ʿAbd al-Jabbār Abū'l-Faraj. He was a Shāfiʿī qāḍī (judge). He became famous as Ibn Samīka. He transmitted from Najd and others. He was a ṣiqah (reliable) narrator. He died in the month of Rabīʿ al-Awwal of this year and was buried in the Bab al-Ḥarb cemetery.
