Muhammad b. Ahmed b. Ibrāhīm Abū'l-Fath. He is known as Gulām al-Shanbuzī. He was a qirāʾāt (Qur'anic recitation) scholar and was well-versed in tafsīr (Qur'anic exegesis). It is narrated that he memorized 50,000 couplets of poetry. He also retained many āyāt (verses) from the Qurʾān as evidence in his memory. However, he was criticized for defects in his narrations from Abū'l-Husayn b. Shanbuz. Dāraquṭnī spoke against him.
Muhammad b. Ahmed passed away in the month of Ṣafar of this year. He was born in the year 331 AH.
