Muhammad b. Ḥusayn b. Faḍl b. ʿAbbās Abū Yāla al-Baṣrī al-Ṣūfī. He spent his life in exile and travels. In the year 432 AH he arrived in Baghdad. There he narrated ḥadith from Abū Bakr b. Abī'l-Ḥadīd al-Dimashqī and Abū'l-Ḥusayn b. Jamī al-Ghassānī. He was a trustworthy, sincere, devout person and a writer of beautiful poetry.
