He was the Arab emir in Ḥadīsü Gane. The Caliph al-Qāʾim bi-Amrillāh had been placed under his custody for surveillance purposes. This event occurred during the fitna of al-Basāsirī. When he was brought to him, he offered hospitality to the Caliph. After the Caliph regained his authority, he bestowed great rewards upon him. Emir Muḥāriš was a person who gave much ṣadaqa (charity) and performed many prayers. He died at the age of eighty in this year. May Almighty Allah have mercy on him.
