He was one of the Companions (ṣaḥāba). He narrated hadith from the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him), and passed away in Medina. He was also known as Abū Zayd al-Ishmālī. He was among those who pledged allegiance to the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) under the Tree of Riḍwān at Ḥudaybiyya. Yaḥyā b. Abī Kathīr narrated that Abū Qilāba said: "According to what Thābit b. Daḥḥāk told me, he pledged allegiance to the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) under the Tree of Riḍwān at Ḥudaybiyya, and at that time the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'If anyone falsely accuses a believer of kufr (disbelief), it is as if he has killed him.'"
Zaynab bint Abī Salama al-Makhzūmī
She was a foster child (rebība) of the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him). Her mother gave birth to her in Abyssinia. She is a female Companion (ṣaḥāba) who narrated hadith from the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him).
