Salīm b. Muḥammad b. Salīm b. Ḥibātullāh b. Mahfūẓ b. Sāsirī al-Ṭaġlibī. He was of a better disposition than his brother Qāḍī Najmuddīn. He had listened to and transmitted ḥadīth. He was a respected great vizier. He served as the head of the dīwān (bureaucracy) and the treasury. Then he abandoned all these positions and went on ḥajj and lived as a muǧāwir (resident near the sacred precinct) in Mecca. Afterwards, he came to Dimashq. Without residing there for a year, he passed away in Dimashq. He died on the twenty-eighth of Dhū al-Ḥijja on a Friday; after the prayer, the funeral prayer was performed at the Umayyad Mosque and he was buried in his tomb in the Qasyūn cemetery. A condolence gathering was held at the Ṣāḥibiyya Madrasa.
