Sahib Zayn al-Dīn Yaʿqūb b. ʿAbdullāh al-Rafīʿ b. Zayd b. Mālik al-Miṣrī. He was known by the name Ibn Zubayrī. He was a virtuous and leading person. First, he served as vizier to Malik Muzaffar Qutuz, then during the early period of his rule to Zāhir Baybars. Afterwards, he was dismissed from this position. Bahaʾ al-Dīn b. Ḥannā was appointed in his place. He remained at home until his death on the 12th of Rabiʿ al-Ākhir of that year. He did not go outside. He composed beautiful poetry.
