He was a merchant in Fürcei Ibn Amud. He had memorized the Qur'an and was the imam of the Kasb Mosque. He was a companion of Shaykh Takiyyuddīn b. Taymiyya and Qāḍī Najmuddīn al-Dimashqī. He possessed a great amount of wealth, property, and fortune. Our friend Shaykh Faqīh Mufaddal Muḥassal Zakī Badr al-Dīn Muḥammad's father, and, God willing, the uncle of our son ʿUmar, whom we hope will live. He passed away in the month of Dhū al-Ḥijja this year. May Allah have mercy on him.
