Shaykh Ṣāliḥ Isrāʾīl b. Aḥ b. Ḥusayn al-Khalidī. He had a zawiya outside Babü's-Salāma. People came from other places to visit him. He was famous for worship and asceticism. Whoever came to him, he would not stand up for them. He was calm, a person of khushūʿ (reverent humility), and had knowledge of the tariqa (Sufi path). Except for the Friday prayer, he never left his house for anything else. Finally, he passed away in the middle of this year's Ramadan and was buried in the Qasyūn Cemetery. May Allah the Exalted have mercy on him.
