The lineage of the esteemed figure Shaykh Najm al-Dīn is as follows: Najm al-Dīn Abū ʿAbdillāh Ḥusayn ibn Muḥammad ibn Ismāʿīl al-Qurashī. He was known by the name Ibn ʿAnkūd. He was Egyptian. He was a respected and prominent personage in the presence of the state dignitaries. He passed away on the morning of Friday, the twenty-third of Shawwāl, and was buried in his zawiya. After him, his nephew took over the duties at this zawiya.
