He was a pious shaykh. His lineage is as follows: Nureddin Abu'l-Hasan ʿAlī b. Muḥammad b. Hārūn b. Muḥammad b. Hārūn b. ʿAlī b. Ḥāmid al-Ṣālibī. He was from Damascus. He studied ḥadīth and musnad in Cairo. He transmitted ḥadīth from Ibn Zabīdī, Ibn Laysī, Jaʿfar al-Ḥamadānī, Ibn Shirāzf, and other shaykhs. The imam and ʿālim Takiyyuddīn al-Subkī granted him ijāzah (authorization). He was a righteous person. He passed away on the morning of Tuesday, the nineteenth of Rabīʿ al-Ākhir. A large crowd attended his funeral.
Great Emir and Victorious Ruler Shihābuddīn Gāzī
Shihābuddīn Gāzī b. Malik Nāṣir Dāwūd b. Muʿaẓẓam. He listened to ḥadīth. He was a humble man. He died in Egypt on the twelfth of Rajab of this year. He was buried in Cairo.
