Shaykh Taj al-Dīn Abū'l-Muẓaffar Muḥammad b. Aḥmad

Shaykh Taj al-Dīn Abū'l-Muẓaffar Muḥammad b. Aḥmad b. Ḥamza b. ʿAlī b. Ḥibatullāh b. Ḥāwī al-Ṭaġlibī al-Dimashqī. He was one of the leading figures of Dimashq. He served as the director of the orphanage and the security organization of his homeland. Afterwards, he was appointed as the deputy of Bayt al-Māl (the public treasury). He heard many ḥadīth. Ibn Balyān brought the firman (imperial decree) appointing him to the position of shaykh. This firman was read by Shaykh Sharaf al-Dīn al-Gharrārī in the Dimashq Mosque. A group of notable and virtuous people present there also listened to the reading of this firman. May Allah have mercy on Shaykh Taj al-Dīn.
