His epithet was Ruknü'd-Dawla (Pillar of the State). He was a Seljuk. He fought many battles. He accomplished great deeds. In Baghdad, the khutbah was read in his name six times. The khutbah was read in his name, then stopped, and then read again in his name. He completed his life span of twenty-four years and a few months in this year and passed away. After him, his son Melikshah succeeded him. However, due to his uncle Muhammad, Melikshah could not obtain power.
Isa b. Abdullah
Isa b. Abdullah al-Qasim Abu'l-Walid al-Ghaznawi al-Ashʿari. He was a zealous Ashʿari supporter. In this year, he left Baghdad to return to his own town. However, he passed away in the city of Isfarayin.
