Jalāl al-Dawla Abū Ṭāhir ibn Bahāʾ al-Dawla ibn Buwayh al-Daylamī. He was the ruler of Iraq. He loved the ʿābidīn (devout worshippers), visited them, and sought dua (supplication) from them.
He was deposed from power several times. He was expelled from his residence. On one occasion, he was exiled from Baghdad. He returned there and regained power. Eventually, he fell ill in his liver. He died on the night of Friday, the fifth of the month of Shaʿbān of that year. At his death, he was fifty-one years and a few months old. He had spent sixteen years and eleven months of his life as the ruler of Iraq. Allah knows best.
