She is the daughter of Qāḍī Abū Bakr Aḥmad b. Kāmil b. Ḥalef b. Shenhārā. She also bears the kunyah Ummu Fath. She heard ḥadīth from Muḥammad b. Ismāʿīl al-Naslanī and others. Azharī, Tanūhī, Abū Yaʿlā b. Farrā and others also heard ḥadīth from her and transmitted them. Many praised her for her piety, virtue, and graciousness. She was born in the month of Rajab in the year 298 AH. She passed away at the age of ninety-two, also in the month of Rajab of that year. May Almighty Allah have mercy on her.
