Yaʿqūb b. ʿAbd al-Ḥak Abū Yūsuf al-Madīnī. He was the sultan of the Maghrib region. He revolted against Vāṣiq Billāh Abū Dabus and, outside the city of Marrakesh, seized power from him, and in the year 668 AH, he invaded al-Andalus and Jazīrat al-Ḥaẓra. His rule continued until the month of Muḥarram of that year. Finally, he died in that year. The state of the Muwaḥḥidūn was destroyed by him.
