Hadiz
“In the morning and evening, implore your Lord with humility, trembling, and without raising your voice. Be not of the heedless!” Surah Al-Araaf (7), verse 205. This noble verse reminds us how to remember Allah Almighty and teaches us the etiquette of supplication and remembrance (dhikr). A person who wants to supplicate or perform dhikr should first be silent and tranquil. This state allows one to distance oneself from hypocrisy and ostentation. Then, the servant should strive for humility by reflecting on their weakness and powerlessness before the greatness of their Lord. Remembering that they are in the presence of a limitless power, they should try to feel fear and awe. They should supplicate and remember with a voice only they can hear. This state promotes concentration of thought. The morning and evening, especially the quiet hours of the night, are the most suitable times for worship and dhikr. One should appreciate these blessed times and not be among those who waste them. 4. “Remember Allah often so that you may attain salvation.” Surah Al-Jumu’ah (62), verse 10. The root of all evil is forgetting Allah Almighty. Those who do not remember Him do not value the standards of life prepared by Him for His servants, and they are consumed by their own simple pleasures and interests. However, the more a person remembers and reflects on his Creator, the more he regulates his behavior and strives to gain His pleasure. The way to be a good person, and therefore to be happy in this world and the hereafter, is to remember Allah Almighty at every opportunity. In the morning, evening, night, day, on land, at sea, in prosperity, in travel, while sitting, lying down, going to work, coming from work, when healthy, when sick – in short, always, everywhere, and at every opportunity, one must remember his Lord. Human success and salvation in both worlds depend on this. Dhikr is not merely remembering Allah with the tongue. Every act of worship, every good deed, and every beautiful action that Allah Almighty commands and which the Messenger of Allah recommended to his community are forms of dhikr. 5. “O you who believe! Remember Allah often, and glorify Him morning and evening.” Surah Al-Ahzab (33), verse 35. The noble verse lists some of the main characteristics of a good Muslim. One of these is to remember Allah often. Men and women who remember Allah often will, just like those who devote themselves to worship, are sincere and truthful, humble and respectful of Allah, give charity and alms, fast, and protect their chastity, attain Allah’s forgiveness and receive rewards that no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no human heart can imagine. 6. “O you who believe! Remember Allah often. Glorify Him morning and evening.” Surah Al-Ahzab (33), verses 41-42. As we also see in the third noble verse, the expressions
