The Noble Qur'an (al-Qur'an al-Karim) is the final divine book revealed by Allah (God) to our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) through the angel Jibril (Gabriel, peace be upon him). It consists of 114 surahs (chapters). This page is a roadmap compiled from sources in the Keşkül library for those who wish to become acquainted with the Qur'an.
The Beginning of Revelation
The first revelation of the Qur'an came in the month of Ramadan in the Cave of Hira, with the command "Iqra! (Read!)". Reading the Qur'an
On Keşkül, all 114 surahs of the Noble Qur'an are presented with the Arabic text and the translation of Elmalılı Hamdi Yazır; one may read the Mushaf (written copy of the Qur'an) surah by surah, or delve deeper through the index of the Diyanet tafsir (Qur'anic exegesis):

An Example Surah: Ikhlas
Ikhlas, one of the most concise surahs of the Qur'an, encapsulates the doctrine of tawhid (the oneness of God) in four verses (ayat). Ikhlas means "to be sincere, to be devoted to religion with inner purity."
