Efleha is interpreted in two ways:
1. Efleha is used in the sense of being happy or fortunate, as in the following verses:
The believers have attained felāḥ (felicity, happiness). (al-Muʾminūn 23:1)
He who purifies himself has attained felāḥ (felicity, happiness). (al-Aʿlā 87:14)
2. al-Felāḥ is used in the sense of fawz (attaining what one hopes for, achieving salvation), as in the following verses:
Indeed, the criminals do not attain felāḥ (i.e., they will not achieve salvation or attain what they hope for in the Hereafter). (Yūnus 10:17)
Indeed, the wrongdoers do not attain felāḥ (i.e., they will not achieve salvation or attain what they hope for). (Yūsuf 12:23)
