[ al-Ṣirāṭ is interpreted in two ways:
1. al-Ṣirāṭ means ṭarīq (path); as in the following verses:
So do not sit on every ṣirāṭ {that is, at the head of every ṭarīq [path]} threatening... (al-Aʿrāf 7:86)
Lead them to the ṣirāṭ of Jahīm {that is, to its ṭarīq / path}! (al-Ṣāffāt 37:23)
2. With al-Ṣirāṭ, what is meant is dīn (religion); as in the following verses:
Guide us to the straight ṣirāṭ {(that is, to the dīn [religion])}! (al-Fātiḥa 1:6)
Indeed, this is My straight ṣirāṭ {that is, My dīn [religion]}. (al-Anʿām 6:153)
This is the straight ṣirāṭ of your Lord {that is, His dīn [religion]}. (al-Anʿām 6:126)
