Zerû is interpreted in two ways:
1. The word zernī is used in the sense of "leave me (alone with him) / leave him to me"; as in the following verses:
Leave Me [zernī] with the one I created alone / Leave Me [zernī] with the one I created alone... (al-Muddaththir 74:11)
Allah the Exalted uttered the phrase "Leave Me (alone with him)!" not because He feared anyone would prevent Him, but in order to declare that He would destroy him by Himself, alone.
{Pharaoh said}: "Leave me [zerūnī] (that is, leave me alone with him), so I may kill Moses." (al-Mu'min 40:26)
Pharaoh, without fearing that anyone would prevent him, said, "Leave me alone with him!"
2. The word zerû is used in the sense of "leave, do not interfere" regarding anything; as in the following verses:
{Ṣāliḥ said}: "This is Allah's she-camel, a sign [āya] for you; leave her/do not interfere with her [zerūkā] to graze in Allah's land, and do not touch her with harm!" (al-A'raf 7:73)
Leave what remains of usury [zerû] (that is, do not consume usury). (al-Baqara 2:278)
Leave [zerû] the outward and inward sin (that is, do not commit open and hidden sins)! (al-An'am 6:120)
