ʿAbd al-Jāmiʿ is the person in whom Allah has gathered all of His names. Allah has made that person the locus of manifestation (maẓhar) of His Name al-Jāmiʿ, and thus, through a divine gathering (jamʿ), the person unites everything that has been separated and dispersed due to the nafs (the lower self) or another cause.
