ʿAbd al-Mūmit is the one whose nafs (the lower self) has been put to death by Allah, who has revived his qalb (the heart), and whose intellect has been illuminated by the life of the Real (al-Ḥaqq). His light, due to this manifest attribute of Allah, influences others by annihilating his own nafs or its faculties through a thought inspired by Allah. (Kāshānī, 120; Jāmiʿ, 11)
