He is the one who witnesses the precedence and pre-eternity (azaliyyah) of the Real (al-Ḥaqq, i.e., God) in all things. With the realization (taḥaqquq) of this name within himself, he becomes foremost in all stations (maqāmāt) concerning excelling in acts of obedience and competing in good deeds (always advancing ahead). Due to the realization of this name with pre-eternity, they come before everyone who exists together with the cosmos. The cosmos, however, is characterized by ḥudūth (origination, having come into being after non-existence). (Kāshānī, 123; Jāmiʿ, 11)
ʿAbd al-Khabīr (ʿAbdülhabir) is the one whom Allah has made privy to His knowledge regarding things before and after their creation. (Kāshānī, 114; Jāmiʿ, 9)
ʿAbd al-Hādī (ʿAbdülhâdi) is the manifestation (maẓhar) of the Name al-Hādī. Allah has created him as a guide to hudā (guidance) for His creatures, a person who speaks the truth with sincerity, and as a muballigh (conveyor) to deliver what is commanded and revealed to him. Indeed, the prophets are such by original designation. Their inheritors (i.e., the saints) perform these duties by way of following (tabʿiyyah). (Kāshānī, 129; Jāmiʿ, 13)
