ʿAbd al-Rashīd is the person to whom Allah, through the manifestation of this Name, grants rushd (right guidance and sound judgment). As Allah has said regarding Abraham (Ibrāhīm, peace be upon him): "And We had certainly given Abraham his rushd (right guidance) before." Thereafter, he was appointed to guide his people (so that they might believe and worship) and to direct them towards both worldly and otherworldly benefit, concerning matters of this world and the Hereafter. (Kāshānī, 130; Jāmiʿ, 14)
ʿAbd al-Razzāq is the person to whom Allah has expanded His provision (rizq). Such a person, by this expansiveness, exerts influence over Allah's servants; whomever Allah wills to grant abundance, he too grants abundance to them. For Allah has created expansiveness and blessing at his feet. What he gives, he gives only because Allah has made it blessed. Goodness also overflows from this blessing. (Kāshānī, 111; Jāmiʿ, 8)
ʿAbd al-Ṣabūr is the one who, by the manifestation of the Name al-Ṣabūr upon him, is a person who examines every matter thoroughly. He does not hasten in matters of punishment or reckoning. He does not rush for the removal of afflictions. In striving (mujāhada), he shows sabr (patient endurance) in the face of Allah's commanded acts of obedience, the afflictions He sends, and the harms He causes to befall him. (Kāshānī, 130; Jāmiʿ, 14)
