ʿAbd al-Tawwāb is one who continually returns and seeks refuge in Allah from his own nafs (the lower self) and from all mā siwā (that which is other than God), until he witnesses true orientation. The tawba (repentance) of everyone who repents to Allah for his sin is accepted. (Kāshānī, 125; Jāmiʿ, 12)
