Asr-ı irshād (the era of spiritual guidance), also called the era of irshād, begins in the walāyat-i kubrā (the greatest sainthood) after the shaykh's transition to dār-i baqāʾ (the abode of subsistence) and the manifestation of the maqām al-fardiyya (station of uniqueness) for the sake of aiding Allah's religion. It commences in the Muhammadan inheritance during the lifetime of "my father." Allah has caused him to appear as one who calls to Him, grants hudā (guidance), and leads to Him. His spiritual journey (sayr sulūk) in the Muhammadan perfections and attributes is realized, and after the essential manifestation (dhātī tajallī), the effusion (fayḍ) of the hazrat overflows in proportion to the nisba (spiritual connection) in the Essence, with the Essence. He experiences all the ḥāl (spiritual states) of the station of uniqueness (fardiyya) he possesses in an essential manner.
