I am the one who is. I am He. I am He who is He.
hu hu/huwa huwa
As if I am myself, or as if I am Hu (He), or He is me. O you who suppose! If you are yourself, this does not surprise me. Do not think that right now I am myself! Do not think that I will be myself! Do not think that I have become myself! (It is as if I am nothing but the skin or this state of the gnostic. If you are yourself, there is no harm in this, but you are not me.) (Tawāsīn, 194)
When I have stripped myself of my body
I am He, in witnessing
His being is in my existence
It is the essence of my witnessing
Hu is Allah's absolute (mutlaq) unseen huwiya (essence of "He-ness"). (Kāshānī, 45; Jāmiʿ, 104)
(He) is a substance with two accidents and an essence with two attributes. The reality (ḥaqīqa) of this substance (its huwiya) is knowledge and powers. The two attributes, knowing and wise, circulate in the channels of the powers and emerge outwardly as a triple power... (Insān, I, 7)
hu hu/huwa huwa is what the Real (al-Ḥaqq) has delivered to creation. For He is He; I am He. He is He. (Tawāsīn, 193)
hubb (signs of love; sign of love for Allah; cup of love; wine of love; seeking)
I love you with two loves
One is the love that binds me to you
The love of yours for being worthy of love
The love that binds me to you is because of you
I remember only you, none other
The love for your being worthy of love is
That you lift the veils so I may see you
There is no boasting in these words
Indeed, I do not boast
To boast in either love
I heard from (the woman Sufi) Hayyūna as she said: Whoever loves Allah (the one who loves Allah) finds intimacy with Him; whoever finds intimacy with Him becomes enraptured by His love; whoever is enraptured by His love yearns for Him; whoever yearns for Him becomes mad; whoever becomes mad is mocked; whoever is mocked reaches Him (attains union); (attains union with Him)
