bezâzet (Sufi Terminology)

I recommend bezâzet to you. Bezâzet is from iman (faith) and means not benefiting from the blessings of the dunya (this world). The expression ihşevşinü, which appears in the hadith, is a characteristic both of pilgrims and of the people of qiyāma (the Resurrection), for they are in a scattered, dusty, and naked state. Undoubtedly, these are things that destroy pride and keep one farthest from negative feelings such as self-admiration, arrogance, pride, and conceit. Again, these are among the things that the sharia (the sacred law) condemns and does not approve of. At the same time, they are reproached both in the sight of Allah and in the custom of people.
