The spiritual beauty (cemâl-i maʿnevî), which consists of the meanings of Allah's names and attributes, and the witnessing (mushāhada) of perfection (kamāl) manifested through the reality of those names and attributes, is exclusive to the Real (al-Ḥaqq, i.e., God). However, the witnessing of the names and attributes in an absolute (muṭlaq) sense is not exclusive to the Real. This is because every person of faith (iʿtiqād) has a certain belief regarding their Lord: either they deem their Lord worthy of the Most Beautiful Names (al-Asmāʾ al-Ḥusnā) and exalted attributes, or they say something else. In the matter of witnessing the form (ṣūrat) of each belief, a form is necessary (ḍarūrī) for witnessing. That form itself is the beauty (jamāl) of Allah, the Exalted. Thus, the manifestation of beauty in that form is not a spiritual (maʿnavī) manifestation, but a necessary (ḍarūrī) one. For this reason, to fully attain the aspect of spiritual beauty through the path of witnessing is impossible for anyone other than those who are truly devoted to Allah. Allah is utterly exalted above the words of those who cannot comprehend this inner reality (ḥaqīqa). (Insān, I, 54)
